freakin weekend.

Umm ya there is no possible way to explain this weekend. BUT I'll try. First comes Thursday... duh the great hike with Steph.. then the craziness of getting ready for the show. Way to wait to the last minute JULIE! The boys (Keith and Aaron) finally call and after a few stops (not exuding coffee) it was off to the coast. We hit some crazy weather..and some horrifying wrecks. We made it home a little after ten and with thanks to our continuous dance party -- we stayed awake. With the first walk in the house it was total comfort and coziness! The next morning I took the boys to Waves of Grain for a treat and some joe. They seemed to enjoy it, maybe not as much as I do but that may be do due that fact I'm biased, non the less they were happy. After WOG we walked the entire town and we had a blast playing tourist, walking in the rain and Brose trying to kill himself. He thought it would be a good idea to try and out run a surge (mind you it was a 25ft swell on the outside). He managed to be blessed with a small surge and a surge that he could outrun. Keith and I opted for the safer route, ended up getting wet as well but ..ya.. no need to explain that 'ish. It was fun.. I won't deny it. We hit a few more stops down town and then headed up to Indian Beach. We were up there forever. The boys again decided to test their fate to the ocean surges, luckily always winning. I can't tell ya how majestic the seas looked. We hit up the Warren House :) They seamed to really enjoy that place (welp duh...)What else we did Friday slips my mind, it was such a packed day of adventure I can't remember. Other than the great thunder and lightening storm.. continuing on.. LOVE IT! Saturday the masses came flushing in. Joel and Ashley had gotten there Friday night and then two of Joel's buddies came in for the weekend as well. Saturday morning was a Sleepy Monk visit, along with other townie things and then time to get ready for the show. The show this year had a lot less foot traffic but still a great turn out. Yay for Stormy Weather Arts Festival '09. After the show.. and again a great one. Even though someone asked me to sign an image.. on the freaking image..nerve racking/odd request...the show went super well.. but once we shut the doors it was time to enjoy. We walked around town, drank wine and listened to some great live music. The boys came and picked me up and it was off to the house for white russians. Then came my other ounces... bah.hah. Kara and Shelby. The girls got there and then it was a in the books.. best rain walk ever. The boys ditched us within .45325 seconds of getting to the beach -- but what evs it was good girl time. After taking ridiculous images and splashing.. well more like sloshing through tide pools it was movie time. All three of us managed to snuggle in my bed.. to which was full of laughter and the boys hated us for it. Sunday morning and it's WOG time again! After church we all nestled into the WOG. Then we beach walked it...surf shopped it...Sleepy Monk'd it...and were just all about it. Kara had to leave us early .. wah.wah. but we weren't too far behind. My car was pile with people and stuff and off to Portland we went. We left CB with no idea on our next adventure... we tried for a Blazer's game but for some reason a $300 ticket sounded oh so not enticing. We ended up at Portland City Grill... umm okay duh yes yes! If you have yet to be there.. GO! It overlooks down town Portland, it's over 30 floors up and the happy hour is amazing. Super diverse food, crazy good cocktails and live music. We may have broken the dress codes... no joke .. they were posted and we failed but they served us.. "don't care". It was so great, so fun, so content with every moment of that place. This weekend was amazing and not only did I get to go home, see my parents, snuggle with my dog, be blessed with an art show, but I got to do it all with some of my absolute closest friends. God is so beyond great. Though Shelby may or may not have gotten a ticket in my car on the way back.. 7 miles from Eugene.. it was still an amazing weekend and one for the books!

Oh man, you have been riding the wave of the "abundant life" - so great to hear how happy life has been. I'll be praying for your emergence back into the "real world" of college reality!
